Completion of the Moravian Church conversion
The final phase of the conversion of the former Moravian Church in Bath, The Spire, is now complete and all 4 duplex apartments have been sold. We worked on this in collaboration with Woodward Hambly Architects.
This was an Ashlar Group development with CTS, Bath as the main contractor. The church building was previously used as offices.
As is usually the case with church conversions, much consideration went into the incorporation of the large arched windows into a residential design. Due to the height of the window sills, mezzanine levels were created in the kitchen/ living rooms to raise the floor level to make the most of the expansive views over Bath. Bedrooms and bathrooms were designed into the roof spaces maximising the use of the building’s height.
